mini scarfs

i did it!  i knit my first project - a mini scarf for Saraya.  i finally buckled down and learned to knit using an online tutorial from Liat here.  it was easier than i thought it would be.  so i got some scrap yarn from previous crochet projects and started practicing.  next thing i knew, i was making a scarf but was about to run out of the dark purple so i got some more scrap yarn and added it in.  i think she likes it!

i'm taking a poll.  should my next project be a beanie, a different (full-size) scarf, or something else?  tell me what you'd like to see me (attempt) to make!

iphone

i've been a sprint customer for many years (yes, cell phones have been around that long!) and the only thing that ever made me consider changing carriers was that the iphone was only available on at&t and later verizon.  but i held out and stuck with sprint because i really prefer their customer service and other perks i get from being a long-time customer.

well good things DO come to those who wait!  apple just announced that sprint will soon be a carrier for the new iphone!  i know what's on my christmas list...

have you checked out the pioneer woman yet?  so many of her recipes make me excited to cook and experiment but this one had me drooling on my keyboard and running to the grocery store at lunch to make it for dinner that night.  so tender, so rich and so easy!

30 day photo challenge - recap

if you want to make a month fly by, take some sort of 30 day challenge.  whether it's a fashion challenge, a photo challenge, or even (maybe especially) a cleaning challenge, i guarantee those 30 days will pass by so quickly it may make your head spin!

i enjoyed this photo challenge and even though i got a little behind schedule, i think i did a decent job.  at the very least, it got me in the habit of carrying my camera everyday...

my favorite day was probably 28.  day 15 was a close second.
