i'm back!

i needed that hiatus.  life is still happening but i'm feeling less overwhelmed now and ready to continue this creative outlet/journal/time capsule for my baby.  so much has happened lately.  my father is recovering though he still has a lot of work to do.  justin is also recovering nicely.  he's had the stitches removed and is being diligent about his physical therapy.  many thanks for your prayers and well wishes.

despite the stress there have been many blessings over the past few weeks.  i have a very  healthy 1 year old.  i'll be sharing all of the fun details of her celebration soon!  i also celebrated my own 33 years on this planet with my first trip to disneyland in over 20 years.  saraya had so much fun and i can't wait until justin and i take her to disneyworld at christmas.

saraya is so healthy!  at her 1 year checkup she's measuring 30.5 in and 23.5 lbs (the 84th and 80th percentile, respectively).  she is so close to walking on her own and is finally really crawling on all fours.  all that cruising and crawling means her weight gain is finally slowing down to a respectable pace.  it may also be due to the fact that she's started trying to feed herself lately.  this is what happens when a 1 year old insists on using the spoon herself...
