as promised, here's a little update on my knitting. in addition to the cute little
mini scarf i first made, i have now completed 2 other projects. first, i made a beanie for saraya. to emphasize the importance of gauge, please note that i did not measure her head and that is why this beanie has a bit of a yamaka look to it! at least her stuffed animals can wear it until i make an appropriately-sized hat. after the beanie fail i attempted to make a cowl scarf for myself. i used the
free honey cowl pattern and a beautiful skein of hand-dyed yarn from madeline tosh. next time i would use two skeins. it was a very easy pattern to follow. and on my needles right now is a beanie for justin in olive green. this one should be better than the last beanie fiasco. wish me luck!
almost done!
i love these colors! luckily i have enough yarn left to do this right-sized.
