my mother's day 2013

i had a fantastic weekend with my family!  i hope all of you mothers, grandmothers, mothers-to-be and mother figures were shown all the love and appreciation you deserve.

one of the highlights of the weekend was a visit to one of my favorite craft fairs, unique LA.  we always find wonderful local goods at these and this past weekend was no exception.  this event happens 3 times a year at the California Market Center.  there are hundreds of local vendors, a DJ, tasty food trucks, tons of free drinks and samples, and even a free photo booth.

the little stinker refused to face the camera for the first shot and waited until mom and dad weren't  looking to make super cute eye contact...

we even saw Richard Simmons shopping local and he is just as loud and crazy as ever.  i only managed to snap a quick blurry pic as he sang/yelled with a woman but he was definitely not trying to blend in with his bedazzled tank top and leggings that looked like exposed muscles.

and i even got a surprise start to my laundry room makeover!  but that deserves its own post for another day.  so how do you end a perfect day of being spoiled by the family?  having your little one peek outside before bed and run up saying "look at all the pretty stars! let's dance in the moonlight all together!" might just be at the top of that list.
