what's for dinner wednesday - ssam

not, i didn't stutter on a guy's name.  ssam is the last korean dish i'm going to cover here for a bit.  it's like a korean taco, if you will.  ssam traditionally consists of a piece of lettuce used to wrap up bite-sized meat, rice, and a chili paste called ssamjang.  you can also add onion, garlic, and sprouts if you prefer and like most korean meals, serve it alongside kimchi.

a group of us went to a restaurant in suwon that specializes in ssam.  it was delicious and so fun to make!  here's our plate o' meat and a fresh hot grill...
austin was such a good cook.  when he saw the grill he just grunted and grabbed the tongs.  couldn't stop him if we tried.
and aris likes to take pictures of food like yours truly... doesn't that garlic look awesome?!

it was!
